Air/nitrogen cannonAn air/nitrogen cannon, also known as a pneumatic pulsator or shockwave generator, is a device used in industry to remove overhangs and accumulation in bins, bins or silos of stored bulk material, as well as to unblock chutes and pipelines for the transport of these materials (pneumatic conveying aid). Air/nitrogen cannons are also used for blowing off, cleaning dust, sludge and fumes from boiler equipment and other applications.

The air/nitrogen cannon is an innovative development of our CentreIt is continuously improved based on the results of operational experience gained in a wide range of industrial applications. Together with the control valve, also of the Centre's design, they form an optimally matched set ensuring high technical and operational parameters of the air cannon. The high dynamics of the cannon's action allows, with a relatively small tank volume, effective and efficient impact of the rapidly released compressed air stream (shock wave) on the bulk material.

The simple design of the air/nitrogen cannon with minimised moving parts, high dynamics and operational reliability, makes it a highly efficient solution for industrial applications.

On the basis of the air/nitrogen cannon, air/nitrogen cannon installations are designed and built, characterised by high efficiency i operational reliability. They are used for overhang and overgrowth removal, aeration, drainage and cleaning in a wide range of industries, such as: power generation - power plants and CHP plants (coal bunkers (biomass), coal transfers, steam exchangers and pyrometers), cement plants (heat exchangers), mines - on coal chutes from storage tanks, lime silos, etc.

The main equipment and components of the system, such as the air/nitrogen cannon, control valve, directional nozzle, pneumatic supply and control components, are manufactured by the Research and Development Centre for Pneumatic Components and Systems Ltd.

Air/nitrogen cannon installations are most often carried out in two versions of electric control:

- manual, activated by pushbuttons from the control panel;
- automatic, using a programmable controller.

The cannons are manufactured in the following sizes (tank volume): V10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80 and 100 dm3. Flanged connection for connection to DN100, PN10 nozzle.

Best effect the dynamic performance of the air/nitrogen cannon is achieved in conjunction with special control valve for 3/2 NO function with a non-return valve integrated inside, which cuts off the flow of air from the tank when it is full.

We offer diverter valves for control in two material versions: aluminium alloy and brass, respectively :

- 3/2 NO G3/8xG1/2 for cannons size V10 to 30 dm3;
- 3/2 NO G1/2xG3/4 for cannons size V40 to 100 dm3.
