Marani offers units Marani ORCwhich are capable of generating electricity in the power range from 10 kWe to 500 kWe and heat-driven jet cooling systems reaching up to 200 kW of cooling capacity.

Marani gyms ORC can be combined with boilers and district heating plants equipped with biomass boilers. The flue gas from the biomass boiler is the carrier of heat energy in the process and, at the same time, the waste can be used as a heat source for the ORC plant. Marani offers comprehensive solutions for the recovery of heat from biomass boiler flue gases using high-temperature ORC plants working with an intermediate thermal oil loop. A configuration with direct evaporation of the working medium is also possible. The solution is dedicated to small heating plants or wood processing plants with biomass waste.

The heat stream received is converted into electricity, either fed back into the grid or consumed for own use. An additional advantage is the possibility of cogeneration operation and the additional production of useful heat.

Application of MARANI ORC technology in heat recovery from biomass boiler flue gases  increases the energy efficiency of the system and makes it possible to reap additional profits from electricity generation.

The flue gas from the biomass boiler can also be used to power jet MARANI refrigeration systems. With a high-temperature heat source, it is possible to achieve a higher COP for cooling systems than with low-temperature sources. The cooling capacity can be used for standard cooling with chilled medium parameters of 6oC/12oC or high-temperature cooling such as 16oC/19oC. This temperature can be customised, which can also have a positive impact on the chiller's performance.

The use of the above technology also increases the efficiency of the plant by utilising waste heat, as well as enabling additional savings by, for example, replacing traditional energy-intensive air conditioning systems.
